Himalayan blue poppy, Blue poppy
Meconopsis betonicifolia (Himalayan blue poppy). This is a short-lived perennial it produces blue flowers in the spring and early summer, they will prefer a cool spot with rich, moist soil that is slightly acidic. In the winter they will not like a constant moisture. You should protect from hot sunlight and hot dry winds.
They will need a moist but not over-wet lime-free soil with plenty of humus and a cool site in part or full shade with shelter from strong winds. You can propagate from seed in late summer. They are poisonous and allergenic.
