Description

Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese elm). This ornamental Chinese Elm will grow quickly, and forms a spreading top with graceful, swaying branches. The autumn foliage ranges from golden to purple. The cluster of red fruit are formed in the autumn, while leaves are still on the tree. As it matures, the bark develops beautiful patterns of silver and green which add a distinctive grace to the tree.

Cultivation

They are fully to frost hardy, and will require cool to cold winters and will tolerate poor, alkaline, compacted soil. It tolerates high heat, wind and drought.
