Lovely specimen of an Aloe hybrid called 'Lizard Lips' in a small, 3 in diameter, grey marble glazed terracotta bowl.
Aloe genus. This is a large genus of around 500 species which includes evergreens, rosettes, trees, shrubs, perennials and scandent climbers with succulent foliage. The flowers are tubular to bell shaped and will open progressively from the base. The leaves will vary greatly between species in size, colour and prickles on the margins or surfaces.
They are frost tender with a min of 5C. The trees and shrubs will spread over 30cm. They will generally prefer full sun, and most of the smaller species will prefer partial shade. They will need very well drained soil.
Used as ornamentals, for medicinal and sometimes culinary use.
