Rubus arcticus (Arctic bramble). A short spineless creeping perennial. Leaves are tripinnate. Flowers are bright red, and appear from mid to late summer. This plant can be found on the moors.


They will prefer moist, well-drained, moderately fertile soil in a sunny position. You can propagate by root division in winter, or from seeds, cuttings or suckers.

Interest and use

Grown for their foliage, fruits and flowers or ornamental, often prickly stems. Deciduous species may be grown for their winter stems Suitable for coastal conditions.
