Monarda didyma (Bee balm). This species produces whorls of tubular flowers that float on top of the stems with hairy, mint-scented foliage.
They are either fully or frost-hardy plants, which will need to be planted in full sun although a little shade is acceptable. The soil must be well drained, make sure the annuals grow in sandy soil. Remember to deadhead this will prolong the blooming period.
