I have cosmos cupcakes and cosmos sea shells.
Cosmos bipinnatus (Mexican aster). This is an upright branching variable half-hardy annual which is native to Mexico. It can grow to a height of 2m; this will depend on the cultivar. The flower colours will vary from pink, white, yellow, orange to red; they are either single or double blooms and early or late-flowering. The flower will bloom from early summer until the frost. The leaves are feather-like and mid green.
They are half hardy to frost tender, and will need a sunny position. It will do best in moist but well drained soil. In mild areas, tubers of half hardy C.atrosanguineus may be over-wintered in ground if protected with a deep mulch.
Cutting bed, containers.
