Aloe vera (First aid plant). This species can grow 60cm high and produces rosettes of lance-shaped grey-green leaves which are toothed with many small white-ish spines and have pink-green margins. The surface of the leaves sometimes have small white flecks.
The long, tubular, yellow flowers appear in summer on spikes that can grow up to 90cm tall.

This plant needs a well drained, gritty potting mixture. Allow the soil to completely dry out between watering.
