Plant Finder: about Erigeron karvinskianus

Common names

Bonytip fleabane, Mexican daisy, Vittadinia, Wall daisy

Erigeron karvinskianus (Bonytip fleabane). This is a trailing perennial, it has downy stems and hairy toothed leaves. The single or corymbs of flowers are small and profuse, they will bloom white then turn a pale pink with maturity.

This species can become invasive. They will tolerate dry soil which is not too rich. You will need to prune after flowering for a better shape, and this will also prevent unwanted self-seeding.

Interest and use

Border, cutting bed, rock garden, ground cover.
