Kalanchoe diagremontiana (Mexican hat plant ). This species is a perennial succulent with lance-shaped bright green leaves. The flowers are panicles of grey purple-pink small blooms. This plant produces adventitious plantlets on the toothed margins and makes an interesting plant for children to grow.


When grown under glass grow in a loam-based compost in bright filtered light. When grown outdoors grow in well-drained humus-rich soil in partial shade.
