The name Adromischus comes from the Greek word "adros" meaning 'thick' and the word "mischos" which means 'stem'.

They are frost tender with a min of 7C. Give them partial shade and very well drained soil. Under glass, grow in sharply drained cactus compost in full light with good ventilation.
