Aloe humilis (Spider aloe). This short-stemmed aloe will form clusters of rosettes about 6cm across. The leaves are pale blue-green and tuberous and have translucent white teeth. In the spring and summer relatively large spikes of red-orange tabular flowers are produced.
These plants can withstand long periods of drought but may appreciate watering occasionally in the summer, particularly under glass or in containers.
