This is a beautiful variety of Agave americana, full name is Agave americana var. media-picta "Alba", sometimes called the White Century Plant. A lovely rosette of blue-green leaves, each with a broad creamy white central stripe. This specimen is in a 9in diameter terracotta bowl and has a spread of 20in and a height of 11in above soil level. Native to mexico and Southern US.
Agave americana ‘Medio-picta’ (Century plant). This Agave has a less dense rosette of strap-like leaves with a broad, yellow stripe down their centres and which curve back on themselves.
It will prefer an average, well drained soil but will tolerate poor soil and drought.
