Iochroma australis. £3.50. 2nd year plants from seed. 9cm pots. Blue flowers (confirmed) healthy and vigorous. Collection only. Elham, Kent. Message me if interested. *Very* limited number. Not soft greenhouse stock - these have been outside all winter for two years. Note: The plant finder information automatically added to this listing is rubbish and refers to the Genus in general. If I could remove it as it is misleading then I would. I cannot :-(. If you have questions just ask :-).
Iochroma genus. These are soft-wooded shrubs with arching branches that are best suited to warm, humid climates. The evergreen shrubs will carry clusters of long tubular flowers which will bloom in shades of blue, purple, red or white throughout the summer and autumn. They are frost tender, min 7-10C and will need full light or partial shade in fertile well drained soil.
Tip prune young plants to stimulate a bushy habit. Cut back flowered stems by half in late winter.
Grown for their flowers.
