Agave americana ‘Variegata’ (Century plant). This is a basal-rosetted, perennial succulent with sharply pointed, sword-shaped, blue-green leaves with yellow edges. The stem carries white flowers, each 9cm long, in spring to summer. Offsets freely.
It will prefer an average, well drained soil but will tolerate poor soil and drought.
