Photo shows them growing in light shade (where they glow and look great), but may flower better with a bit more sun as long as kept moist.
Crocosmia genus (Montbretia). This plant is from south African. It will form a dense clumps of sword-shaped leaves. Above the leaves you will find horizontal spikes of attractive tubular flowers which are borne in the summer.
They are frost hardy and will require well drained soil with an open sunny site. In very cold areas, you should plant in a sheltered position or lift and store for the winter.
Grown for their brightly coloured flowers produced mainly in summer. Suitable for coastal conditions.
