Kara Tau garlic

Description

Allium karataviense (Kara Tau garlic). The most striking feature of this spring flowering species from central Asia is the 2 to 3 broad flat, dull grey-green leaves tinged with purple that spread widely from the base. The short flowering stems end in dense umbels of star-shaped white tinged purple flowers. The petals have darker central veins.

Cultivation

Plant at a depth of approximately 13cm.
