Common names

Pink Lily Leek, Allium ostrowskianum


Allium oreophilum (Pink Lily Leek). Also known as Allium ostrowskianum, this species is rather small and clump forming, growing to around 20cms in height. The relatively large flowers are bell-shaped and bright magenta pink and carried in umbels in the spring and summer. The leaves are flat and narrow and taller than the flowers.


Plant at a depth of approximately 9cm. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
