This grower is fairly sure of this plant identification.
This lovely flowering Magnolia is about 7 years old..purchased from a nursery...has a nice spread and is now dwarfing everything else and now sadly has to go!
Magnolia × loebneri. This is a deciduous species which grows about 9m tall, The leaves are blunt and range from dark to paler green. The flowers are white to pink and star-shaped flowers open from early to mid-spring.
They will require deep, fertile, well-drained mildly acidic soil. They thrive in sun or partial-shade but need protection from strong or salty winds.
Wall, ornamental fruit. Suitable for coastal conditions.
