Trout lily


Erythronium ‘Pagoda’ (Trout lily). A robust tuber with two semi-erect, basal, glossy, medium green speckled yellow leaves. Pale yellow flowers with reflexed petals are borne in springtime.


They are easily grown and will prefer a woody, humus-rich well drained soil in a shaded spot. They are fully to frost hardy. Do not allow tubers to dry out before replanting 15cms deep.

Interest and use

Grown for their pendant flowers and in some cases attractively mottled leaves.
