Wild strawberry, Alpine strawberry


Fragaria vesca (Wild strawberry). A low growing perennial from Europe and North America. Bears bright green ovate, toothed leaves and cymed clusters of white and yellow centre, disc-shaped flowers. This is the wild strawberry can be found on wasteland or in woodland. This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe.


Grow them in fertile limy well drained soil with full sun with some dappled shade. Harvesting may start in early summer and may end in late summer.
