Geranium wallichianum ‘Buxton's Blue’. This perennial forms clumps of light green leaves, flecked white. Has clusters of large, blue or sometimes blue-purple flowers with white centres in mid summer to mid autumn.
They are fully to half hardy. Most species will prefer sun, but some do better in the shade. They will grow in any but waterlogged soil. Outdoors, grow larger species and hybrids in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Grow small species and hybrids in humus-rich, sharply drained soil in full sun. Under glass, grow half hardy species in loam-based potting compost with added sharp sand, in bright filtered light. During the growing season, water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly. Water sparingly in winter.
