Common names



Crocosmia crocosmiiflora ‘Gerbe D'Or’ (Montbretia). This Crocosmia is is a garden hybrid of C. aurea and C. pottsii, first bred by Victor Lemoine in 1880. Dark green, strap-like foliage forms a mound, above which float apricot-yellow flowers on longer stems in late summer. Also known as Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora 'Solfatare Coleton Fishacre'.


They are frost hardy and will require well drained soil with an open sunny site. In very cold areas, you should plant in a sheltered position or lift and store for the winter.
