Monarda fistulosa (Wild bergamot). This species will need plenty of room to spread, grow in rich moist soil The blooms are lavender and will make a good background for your other perennials, It produces very aromatic foliage.


They are either fully or frost-hardy plants, which will need to be planted in full sun although a little shade is acceptable. The soil must be well drained, make sure the annuals grow in sandy soil.
