Narcissus pseudonarcissus (Tenby daffodil). This species will produce nodding yellow trumpet-shaped flowers with cream perianths in spring and has upright, strap-shaped leaves. This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe. STEM: Flowering stem upright, slightly flattened. ROOT: Bulb HAIRS: Absent STIPULES: Absent LEAF-STALK: Absent BRACTS: Broad, papery. FLOWER STALK: Short beneath flower, long stem bears bract and flower. SEPALS: Absent PETALS: 6 equal perianths, bases form tube with trumpet-like extra tube on inner face; lobes oval, spread apart. STAMENS: 6, inside petal-tube. STIGMA: 1, tip-swollen; style long. OVARY: 1, below petals, 3-celled. SEEDS: Many, egg-shaped, slightly roughened.
