Common names

Catmint, Ground ivy


Nepeta × faassenii (Catmint). This is a compact, ground covering border or edging plant with fragrant foliage and profuse blooms. The foliage is a soft grey-green. The flowers are held well above the foliage in summer-time. They will prefer full sun and will tolerate dry soil.


They need a well-drained soil in a sunny position. You can propagate by division or from cuttings taken during the late spring summer months or from seed.
