Lemon thyme, Thyme


Thymus citriodorus (Lemon thyme). This is a delightful rounded, frost-hardy shrub which will grow about 30cm high and has tiny oval lemon-scented leaves and pale lilac flowers.


They are fully to marginally frost hardy. You should plant them out from early autumn through to early spring in a sunny site with moist, well-drained soil.

Interest and use

Useful for growing on banks and in rock gardens, troughs and paving.
