Geranium psilostemon (Armenian cranesbill). This species will produce magenta profuse flowers, The leaves are broad, deeply cut and semi-evergreen. The branches will need support in the growing season. You should avoid the midday sun in warmer regions. The plant will grow to an impressive 4ft in height and almost equally as wide.
They are fully to half hardy. Most species will prefer sun, but some do better in the shade. They will grow in any but waterlogged soil. Outdoors, grow larger species and hybrids in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Grow small species and hybrids in humus-rich, sharply drained soil in full sun. Under glass, grow half hardy species in loam-based potting compost with added sharp sand, in bright filtered light.
