A small leaved ground cover Gunnera.
Gunnera magellanica. This is a rhizomatous clump-forming perennial which will grow to about 15cm high with a spread of up to 30cm or more. It has stalked kidney-shaped, scalloped leaves and will bear tiny green flowers in short rounded spikes in the summer.
They are frost hardy, but need shelter from winds in the summer and can be covered with bracken or compost in the winter. They will require a sunny position with moist soil.
