Butia capitata (Jelly palm). Arching slow-growing evergreen palm which can reach 6m in height and are native to South America. Has a rough grey trunk, long, elliptic, blue-green frond leaves and panicles of yellow or purple flowers. These are followed by a large weight of juicy yellow or orange fruit, have a sweet, edible pulp.
