Leonotis leonurus (Lion's ear). This is an upright, semi-evergreen shrub which produces orange flowers that appear in whorled profusion from summer, autumn and early winter. You should cut back hard in late winter or very early spring and water regularly in the growing season.


You can plant in full sun in rich well-drained soil, Try nor to over-water. The plants will need to be cut back heavily in early spring. Propagation is from sees in the spring or from softwood cuttings in early summer.
