Aster novae-angliae ‘Alma Potschke’ (New England aster). Clusters of pink flowerheads on stiff stems appear in late summer to autumn. Leaves are rough and lance-shaped.
The taller species may need staking, and the clumps may be divided every 2 or 3 years. Grow them in a moist, rich soil with full sun.
