A brightly coloured stoloniferous variety that puts up new eyes from root runners. Makes a dense creeping clump of strap like leaves about 20cm high. The leaves emerge quite early and are edged in bright yellow to start with, later fading to cream. Has wonderful purple flowers that look great in the border. It's creeping nature makes it a poor pot subject, as it will keep trying to escape, although it can be good in a pot.
Hosta ‘Yellow Splash Rim’. Hosta with lance-shaped shiny green leaves and yellow edges which turn creamy white as the season progresses. Striking violet trumpet-shaped flowers.
Grows stoloniferously - along the surface of the ground, producing roots or shoots at the nodes and tips. So best planted in a border rather than pots.
Grown for their decorative foliage. Form large clumps that are excellent for ground cover. Attracts humming birds in suitable geographical locations.
