Cautleya gracilis. This hardy ginger has up to 10 loosely-spaced yellow flowers on its pseudostem and lance shaped, mid green leaves with red margins.


Prefers to be planted in rich, damp, loamy soil and in a sunny, sheltered position. UK gardeners should protect the plants with a mulch of organic matter, before the frosts.

Interest and use
