The plant produces large, bright green leaves covered with a sticky 'dew' that is brilliant for catching small fruitflies etc. Plant also produces very pretty bright pink flowers.
Very easy and rewarding to grow - and very useful!

Pinguicula genus (Butterwort). The genus consists of about 45 species of carnivorous perennials. The leaves are pointed and oval in basal rosettes. The leaves are succulent and their sticky surface, will trap small insects.

Cultivation

They will grow in wet, mossy bogs. They are fully hardy to frost tender, min 7C and will need sun with wet soil.
