Saxifraga fortunei ‘Silver Velvet’ (Fortune Saxifrage ‘Silver Velvet’). Scalloped burgundy leaves with prominent silver stripes and open panicles of small, delicate cream-white flowers produced in September to November.


The soil conditions and position of light will depend on the specie. They will also vary in hardiness from fully to frost hardy to marginally frost hardy. Most form tight cushions and flower in early spring, flower stems being barely visible above leaves.

Grown mainly for foliage but but also for flowers.
