Saxifraga fortunei ‘Mount Nachi’. The foliage on this variety of saxifrage is scalloped and bronze-green on the upper side and red-purple on the lower surface. Flowers are creamy white, with occasional elongated petals, giving a star-like effect.
The soil conditions and position of light will depend on the specie. They will also vary in hardiness from fully to frost hardy to marginally frost hardy. Most form tight cushions and flower in early spring, flower stems being barely visible above leaves.
