These plants are in Oak barrels,i think they stand about 4ft 6' tall, very large ,i will provide pics and exact height asap.I believe its a Buxus Sempervirens
Buxus genus (Box). These are evergreen shrubs and trees. They produce small, neat, leathery leaves which have a dense habit. There are about 30 species. The flowers are small and green-yellow in colour, and will bloom in clusters in the spring.
They are fully to frost hardy and will require sun or semi-shade in any soil but waterlogged soil. You will need to trim back the hedges during the summer. Promote new growth by cutting back stems to 30cms or less in late spring.
Grown for their foliage and habit and is excellent for edging, hedging and topiary work.
