These trees were planted in 1989. They are around 1m wide and 3m high and make wonderful individual specimen trees. The perfect tree for Church avenues. The pot size (right) is only a very rough indication of what would be needed to accommodate the rootball.

Taxus baccata ‘Fastigiata Aurea’ (Golden Irish yew). Bears dark green leaves variegated yellow.


They are fully to frost-hardy and will tolerate a wide range of conditions, which include heavy shade and chalky soils. However, they will grow well in rich soil that is well drained and has full sun exposure. Watch out for the poisonous leaves and seeds. Prune in late summer.
