Cordyline australis ‘Variegata’ (Cabbage tree). A slow-growing, palm-like tree native to New Zealand. Has pale green, lance-shaped to linear leaves. Bears profuse creamy white, sweetly-scented flowers.


They are half hardy to frost tender, min 5C. You will need to provide fertile, well drained soil with full light or partial shade.

Interest and use

Hedging with bold leaves. Summer interest. Suitable for coastal conditions.
