A fine compact evergreen shrub with gracefully arching branches and rich yellow variegated leaves. The young shoots are in an attractive reddish brown. Pink blossoms appear from June to October.
Abelia × grandiflora ‘Francis Mason’ (Glossy abelia). This variety is a bushy rounded evergreen shrub with ovate and yellow-green leaves. The flowers are axillary cymes or terminal panicles of white blooms, tinged with pink, in early summer to mid autumn. The shrub will grow to about 1.5m high and about 2m wide.
You can grow in well-drained clay soil which is semi-moist.
