I keep making divisions, cuttings and saving seedlings, making new plants all the time, I would love to find a new home for some of them as I am running out of space on my nursery shelves. I could always manage to squeeze in a couple of new and interesting plants in my garden, but I am mainly interested in relatively small plants, or plants that are tall and narrow, since finding space always is an issue. In my new garden the soil is very heavy with clay and more suitable for pottery than gardening – a new challenge for me. I have lots of woodland plants and acid lovers from my previous garden that will need to get used to container life for years to come.

I am interested in unusual plants, the kind you don’t find in the average garden centre and I like unusual looking plants. I am also interested in typically woodland plants, especially plants that are small and non-invasive. I have a particular interest for roses and lilies though, and only space is keeping me from having many more roses - but one can never have too many lilies!

I am disabled and practically housebound, which means that if you are interested in making a plant swap you will need to come to my place in East London (Plaistow). But by coming here you will get a great opportunity to look around in my garden and see if there is anything else you might be interested in – and a chat with a fellow plantaholic! I am happy to send plants by courier for swap though, if you are living too far away, just get in touch and we can discuss what plants to swap. I don't offer plants just for sale for delivery.

Please have a look at the list of the plants in ‘My Garden’ before getting in touch to see if there is anything you would be interested in, I would be more than happy to prepare cuttings, seedlings or divisions of suitable plants ready for you for when you arrive, if it is the right time of year for it. I have an extensive wish list but could be tempted to take on a much wider range of plants than I currently grow – as long as I can manage to squeeze them in somewhere. Any questions, please send me a message.
    Thanks for your interest.
