Callistemon citrinus ‘Splendens’ (Australian bottlebrush). Bears broad leaves with a lemon scent, a grey-green colour, that is bronze-red when young. Bright red flowers in brush-like spikes are produced in early summer.
They are frost to half hardy, but in cool areas might need a little protection. They will require full sun and fertile well drained soil. In cool areas all except C.sieberi need protection of a south or west facing wall.
