Half hardy perennial Echium (this plant survived the winter in a sheltered corner outdoors) - it is NOT a monocarpic Echium, nor a biennial Echium. It is perennial.
If you pot this on and keep it frost free over the winter it will reward you with a far better display than I have this year.
