Stipa gigantea (Golden oats). This is an evergreen or semi-evergreen clump-forming grass. It is a long-lived species with narrow green leaves about 75cm. Throughout the summer, upright stems bear bristle-like, silver-purple flowers in large, open panicles up to 20cm long.


You can plant in full sun in well-drained soil.
