Tradescantia × andersoniana (Spiderwort). This is a strong and durable low growing perennial with strap-shaped and fleshy leaves. The flowers have 3-petals ranging from white, pink or purple. It should be cut back after flowering as it will droop over. The flowers are not ideal for cutting as they wilt quickly, but this perennial is effective when grouped in masses or in a meadow with yellow-blooming perennial wildflowers.
You will need to grow in full sun or partial-shade in fertile, moist to dry soil.
