Vinca major ‘Dartington Star’

For sale by The Lazy Gardener

This grower is sure of this plant identification.

Pot grown plant. Hardy evergreen sub-shrub. Full sun to part shade in fairly moisture retaining, but reasonably free draining soil. Purple starry flowers from March to July. Eventual height 100cm. Cut back as often as needed to keep in check, but definitely at least once a year as this plant will spread. It looks lovely on banks, fences, to soften hard landscaping by allowing its shoots to trail over retaining walls or as groundcover through the base of trees in a woodland garden.

I prefer hardy perennial and evergreen, non-tender, frost hardy and reasonably drought tolerant plants. I love hardy succulents. Also, reasonably easy to care for houseplants. I definitely would like a witch hazel if anyone has any to swap - either a red flower, orange flowered or yellow would be lovely.
