    Johannesteijsmannia magnifica (Daun payung). This genus iincludes 4 species. The genus Johannesteijsmannia is native to Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The species are striking palms with large, undivided, diamond-shaped leaves. Although they are among the most desirable palms for collectors, they are rare and difficult to find in the nursery trade. They require warm, shady, and moist rainforest conditions with protection from strong wind.
