A corking plant, flowering late in autumn, from September through to November.
Kniphofia genus (Poker plant). These are perennials, some of which are evergreen. They are upright tufted plants with long leaves. In the summer they will produce showy, brightly coloured tubular flowers in dense racemes on the tall bare stems. They are fully to half hardy and will need full sun in well drained conditions, with constant moisture in the soil in the summer.
