Cultivation

You must grow in well-drained, humus-rich soil. They prefer a sunny position and are frost tender, so plant them in pots or window boxes. You can propagated by division in autumn. They like a sunny position and lots of water until the foliage begins to die off. They need to be kept dry when dormant; they may need lifting in areas with high summer rainfall. Plant in early autumn; dry off in summer when foliage has died down.

Propagation

Seed in autumn or freely produced offsets.
