Description

Lachenalia aloides (Cape cowslip). A perennial herb from South Africa. Bears glossy blotched green purple leaves and racemes of nodding variously coloured flowers in winter. They need to be kept dry when dormant; they may need lifting in areas with high summer rainfall.
